       After participating in the class  tutorials, I gained a deeper understanding for both InDesign and Premier Pro. Prior to watching the tutorials I thought InDesign as well as Premier Pro were going to be  somewhat of a challenge to learn and be able to use well. The tutorials showed me that InDesign would work  very well in aiding me in creating an astounding magazine for my portfolio project with a very  little learning curve to the program. Premier Pro seemed to be a bit more challenging to navigate, especially for someone with no prior  experience  as  myself .         In t he article "Survival of the Fittest:..."  Franklin  conversed with four very creditable editors and composed their answers (2011).  If I choose to complete a literary magazine this article will be a good resource to look back on for  guidance  on the changing audience and what future  trends in ...

                 My initial impressions of the magazine covers were that they all appealed to their  target   audience  and that was very evident  through the font  style and colors that were used on the covers.  Viewers could clearly distinguish which gender the magazine was intended for.  The more masculine magazines  tended to have a rougher font choice with very bold issues such as politics. None of the women’s magazines brought up any political topics  whatsoever .  Opra’s magazine ,  The Oprah Magazine ,  featured Breonna Taylor on the cover of  the September issue in 2020 (The Oprah Magazine 2020, September) .  This was the only magazine that brought up anything even somewhat controversial.  The men’s magazines would just flat out state that there would be politics discussed in that  particular issue  right on the cover page.  The men’s magaz...

                 My initial impressions of the impact of the opening sequences of films was that they were all very strong in a way  or another .  The  audience's  attention was captured by these scenes whether it was from being  left in suspense wa nting  to know  happens next or out of pure excitement for the rest the plot to unfold.  The opening scene of  Jaws   seems  normal then  suddenly,  the girl  is thrashing  around in the water until she is  eventually  dragged under (Speilberg, Sargent, Alves, Szwarc 1975) . Then  the water  becomes  so calm it looks  as if it was   glass.
